Our clients love Chemical Peels due to their wonderful effect. Chemical peels reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, deep acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. They resurface the skin and give an all-over boost by removing dead skin cells and stimulating new cell growth.
A chemical peel is a specifically created solution that rejuvenates the skin. Peels work by removing dead skin on the outer layers of your skin, clearing away superficial signs of discoloration, damage, fine lines, and promoting new skin growth. There are various options available that Injector Maya may recommend based on your individual skin concerns.
There are different types of chemical peels. Medium skin peels target only skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis) and are most effective in treating acne scars, stretch marks, dull skin, large pores, roughness, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Deeper peels are designed to target poor texture, pigmentation, severe acne scarring, wrinkles.
Every treatment is customized individually, considering patient skin type, specific problem areas and the delicate areas of the face. The depth of the peel depends on the concentration and type of acid, a person’s skin type, level of sensitivity and duration of the contact with the client’s skin.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Medium and deeper chemical peels are typically applied to the whole face and neck and can also be applied on the backs of the hands. They are effective in the treatment of: lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, overlarge pores, sun damage, uneven skin tone. You can only have a deep chemical peel once. This is because they affect the deeper layers of the skin, and the results are more permanent.
Most chemicals peels are made of carefully formulated, naturally occurring acids and they are classified by their depth of penetration. The more challenging the skin problem, the more likely Injector Maya is to recommend a deeper treatment.
The chemical peel will remove the skin’s damaged outer layers and the new cells and collagen will be stimulated during the healing process, resulting in a smoother, tighter, younger looking skin surface.
