Patients with abnormal platelet function, clotting disorders and chronic liver disease are not suitable for PRP therapy. Injector Maya will apply a numbing cream prior to treatment to make the process more comfortable. Most clients experience mild discomfort which is the result of the injections.  Is there any downtime? The injection process may cause some bruising, swelling and tenderness which will subside within 24hours. Clients are advised to wear face cream with filters and avoid direct sun exposure.  Is PRP treatment safe? As the platelets are the patients’ own there is no risk of transmissible diseases or allergic reactions. Infection risk is minimized by ensuring sterile technique and equipment.
